We are a custom, high end wood shop that manufactures custom doors and products for some of America's elite companies and residential clientele. We are seeking self-motivated, detail oriented, professionally minded CNC operators to join out team and contribute to our continued success. Pay is negotiable upon knowledge and skill level/experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and operate 3 axis and 5 axis overhead CNC routers (Biesse/Homag)
- Preview programs to identify any potential issues prior to machining
- Work directly with the production team to ensure proper machining techniques
- Capable of standing for extended periods of time
- Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines manually and with the help of a crane
- Prepare a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications
- Set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate large number of parts
- Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result/provide input on improving operational efficiencies
- Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly
- Check and maintain machinery and tooling daily to ensure functionality
- Ability to work on shop floor when needed
Education & Experience
- High School or equivalent (Preferred)
- 1-2 Years CNC machining preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate
- Skill in operating CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings
- General woodworking and carpentry experience a plus.
- Good communication abilities
- Required to operate shop machinery when needed (table saw, sanders, routers, planers, jointers, etc..) will train.
- Must be able to lift, push and or pull up to 50lbs.
- Must have basic computer knowledge
