SANITATION 1
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for the required sanitation of the production plant in accordance with the Master Sanitation List and company policies.
Pay Range: $16.00 – $20.50
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Use approved chemicals to disinfect surfaces.
- Disassemble, sanitize, and reassemble food processing equipment.
- Dispose of waste along the assembly line.
- Sweep and mop the floors.
- Dust ventilation ducts to ensure proper airflow.
- They will ensure proper industrial cleaning and sanitizing of all equipment, machines and facilities per the Master Sanitation List to meet mandatory sanitation requirements.
- The sanitation worker must be able to work as a team along with other members of the crew and be flexible and willing to perform varying tasks per the supervisor's instructions and in accordance with all safety guidelines as mandated by the company.
- Able to work in a cold environment.
- Ability to work around raw or frozen meat.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality are required.
- Overtime may be available and/or required.
- Ability to communicate and read labels in English (Bilingualism a plus)
- Some cleaning experience preferred.
- Attention to detail.
- Physical stamina.
Physical Requirements:
- Standing/Walking for 8 hours a day
- Able to Lift up to 60 lbs.
- Able to work Over-time and Graveyard shift
- Must be able to bend, twist continually, using high-pressure hot water hoses, squeegees, shovels and chemicals. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED certificate preferred (May be substituted with experience).
