Description:
Heart Havens seeks a caring Senior Program Manager to work in collaboration with the Operations Director, Quality Assurance Director, HR Manager and Program Managers for Heart Havens Virginia Beach, Varina, Glen Allen and Ashland homes to ensure compliance with administrative regulations and policies, and with federal, state, and local regulations. This position is responsible for providing day-to-day leadership that promotes a positive, value-based culture within the Heart Havens organization. This position is also responsible for ensuring that homes are appropriately staffed with trained professionals while providing outstanding services to residents. This position requires quality assurance duties and employee management responsibilities.

Requirements:
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Must have a passion for and desire to work with people with developmental disabilities

Ability to supervise the work of others and implement companywide policy and procedures

Ability to teach and train staff in skills needed to perform job duties

Excellent interpersonal, oral, problem solving, and written communication skills

Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision

Must understand and model the Heart Havens Mission and Values

Ability to monitor expenditures and meet operating budgets

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other database software

Knowledge of DMAS & DBHDS Licensure and Human Rights regulations

Knowledge of the characteristics and concepts of developmental disabilities, mental health disorders and related physical conditions and treatment approaches

Ability to professionally address concerns of parents/individuals/case managers and other stakeholders

Ability to write Person Centered Individualized Support Plans and maintain sufficient client records

Ability to physically perform light office work with reasonable accommodation as

Ability to organize, schedule, and prioritize conflicting deadlines

Ability to create processes to effectively manage job duties and time
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or any other related field (i.e. Psychology, Social Work), equivalent combination of experience and training will be considered

Two years practical experience working with people with disabilities, or in a position of quality improvement within the disability field

Must be able to pass required background checks and obtain required certifications

Previous supervisory and leadership experience preferred
