Job Description: We are a part-time (Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday) homeschool program seeking an energetic and enthusiastic teacher to join our team. In this role you will provide small group instruction to kids ages 10-12, foster a classroom environment where students are excited to learn, and collaborate with 2-3 other teachers to plan fun weekly and monthly activities.
Hours: 9:00 a.m-3:00 p.m
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and instruct engaging lessons in reading, writing, math, science, and social studies
- Utilize project-based and hands-on learning techniques to enhance students' understanding and retention of material
- Provide individualized academic support and guidance to help each student achieve their full potential
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents
- Foster a positive and engaging classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration
- Work collaboratively with 2-3 other educators to ensure a cohesive, fun, and effective educational experience for all
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
- Teaching certification preferred
- Proven experience teaching kids in a classroom setting, small group, or homeschool environment
- Familiarity with project-based learning
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to take initiative and be flexible in a dynamic teaching environment
- Strong classroom management skills
- A passion for teaching, a genuine desire to foster a love of learning in students, and a commitment to student success
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 18 – 20 per week
