Sampson Regional Medical Center is hiring a Donor Phlebotomy Technician to join the Blood Bank team in the Laboratory!
Description:
This is a full-time position. The selected candidate will recruit donors; help coordinate blood drives; schedule, screen and interview prospective donors; perform donor and patient phlebotomies and provide care to donor; establish and maintain quality assessments, quality control, and prevent maintenance programs; perform clerical duties such as telephone messages, test requisitioning, report distribution, ordering and receiving supplies, credit and charging, filing and word processing; maintains donor records and statistical reports; orients, trains, and assesses staff and student competency; drive hospital vehicle for blood drives or other donor service activities; provide service to donors and patient per policy; and interact with patients and their families, physicians, public, and regulatory/accreditation agency inspectors.
Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent

Successful completion of phlebotomy training program

National Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician, preferred

2 year of college with courses in health care, sciences and public relations, prefer

Computer skills and knowledge of Medical Terminology, prefer
