Summary:
The Board Certified Behavior Analyst is responsible for assessing client’s behavior and working closely with the family to develop an intervention plan. You will work in-home and in the community with families and Behavior Technicians to implement the plan, train the team and caregivers and fine tune the plan.
Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Conduct functional behavior assessments, reassessments, and write progress reports.
- Develop & monitor individualized treatment plans and behavior support plans.
- Supervise and train Behavioral Technicians.
- Coordinate with physicians, therapists, and other individuals in the client’s care plan.
- Assess and chart observations thoroughly.
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation.
- Work collaboratively with all staff, vendors and clients.
- Provide support, instruction and feedback to caregivers and families on managing challenging behaviors and teaching replacement behaviors.
- Consult and coordinate with other team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate intervention plans.
- Modify client intervention plans as necessary.
- Assess the needs of individuals, families, or communities, including the assessment of the client’s home or work environments, to identify potential concerns.
- Engage in research activities related to your position.
- Review program effectiveness, make recommendations, monitor data collection, and graph/monitor progress.
- Design positive behavior support and skill acquisition plans with individualized behavioral goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Special Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, or related field required.
- Active BCBA certification
- Active MA LABA, or ability to obtain it within 30 days of hire.
- Minimum of 1 year BCBA experience preferred.
- Ability to travel to and from client’s home address or place of service.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Strong interpersonal skills that build personal rapport and establish trust with the client and parent/guardian.
- Strong organizational skills along with excellent written and communication skills.
- Patience and compassion when working with children with diverse needs.
- Ability to follow directions and implement behavior intervention plans accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of clients and their families.

- The employee may be exposed to patients with infectious diseases.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
