The Project Engineer is a valuable member of the Construction Management group and a role that offers an excellent opportunity for those looking to broaden their experience in both the business and operational aspects of civil construction. The position focus is collaboration with our Project Managers on everything from change orders to close-out documents to job cost forecasting.

General Duties of the Project Engineer/Assistant Project Manager
Project Engineering/Project Management Duties:
- Ensure the needs of the Client are met while simultaneously upholding Company’s standard practices.
- Correspond with Clients regarding change orders and extra work requests.
- Review and analyze plan changes for cost impact.
- Calculate the cost impact of changes or extra work.
- Transmit PCOs to Client and pursue approval.
- Collaborate with other team members to determine project progress for billing use.
- Update project information hubs (Viewpoint, PlanGrid, Server).
- Determine scope and valuations for Subcontracts.
- Assist Project Managers with job cost forecasting and analysis.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with Clients and other team members.
- Preserve and promote Company’s commitment to a vibrant office atmosphere and teamwork focus.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree; Construction Management, Engineering, or Business a plus
- Minimum of one year experience in construction project management, accounting, or coordination role with no degree
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to work with financial concepts such as unit price, cost/revenue comparison, margin determinations, and cost forecasting
- Demonstrates excellent level skills using a personal computer and Company communication tools, such as email, internet, and Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience with Bluebeam software or ability to learn.
- Experience with Viewpoint software or ability to learn.
