Working as a Merchandising Manager for Stinchcomb Associates, Inc., you will be responsible for ensuring that your team meets or exceeds merchandising standards on a daily basis. You will oversee the operations in multiple stores, working with your team of merchandisers.
Our goal as a company, and your responsibility as a Merchandising Manager, will be to ensure that merchandisers provide excellent presentation/display and maintenance of live shrubs, trees, and seasonal items within a retail garden center. You will achieve this through the hiring and training of qualified candidates, setting the schedule, budgeting for labor, and communicating effectively with all members of the team.
You will be responsible for ensuring merchandisers follow plan-o-grams, maintain signage, and uphold aesthetics standards. Essential to this position is the ability to assist customers, work with your team in maintaining set standards, and communicating with your in-store contacts, vendors, and colleagues.
Qualifications:
*Bachelor's degree in horticulture, plant science, business management, or a related field is preferred.
*Several years of experience in retail merchandising, preferably in a garden center or nursery environment.
*Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor a diverse team.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
*Demonstrated creativity in visual merchandising and designing captivating displays.
*Ability to handle physical workload.
*Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours during peak seasons.
*Reliable transportation & valid driver's license.
