About the position:
We are seeking a Growth Content Reporter to join Arizent. The ideal candidate will bring a journalistic approach to Arizent publications’ growth of TOF traffic.
Responsibilities:

Independently manage relationships with brand EICs, editors and reporters to build knowledge across Arizent brands and gain the confidence and authority required to move quickly on story ideas, roundups, data card shows, and breaking news items.

With the support of brand EICs, build relationships with sources across Arizent communities to add original reporting to growth content.

Create same-day content by repromoting existing stories and via original reporting and fresh angles on popular topics; publish 6-8 pieces of content a week.

Informed by Arizent data, ideate traffic-driving stories based on trending topics across brands.

Create and monitor compelling social media copy to support TOF-focused content.

Work with the audience development team to ensure that all social media and SEO copy is optimized.

Provide line-editing support to the Growth Content team as needed; support junior writers in improving their own writing.

Embrace Arizent’s exclusive research reports as a foundation for traffic-driving stories and card shows across brands, adding additional reporting and context as needed.

Appear at Arizent events and as a moderator on webinars as needed.

Demonstrate knowledge of the Associated Press stylebook, basic journalistic guidelines and reporting parameters, fact-checking, copy editing, and an ability to quickly adopt Arizent’s in-house style.
Qualifications:

3-8 years of experience in reporting, preferably in a breaking news environment

Ability to write with clarity, insight, and depth

A track record of working well under tight deadlines

A sharp eye for what makes compelling news

Proficiency in all the tools of a digital newsroom (CMS, audio and video recording and editing, digital photography and editing, data analysis)

Experience and confidence participating in digital media and other public forums

A degree in journalism or communications field is a plus
