JAG Healthcare is looking for a Registered Dietitian (RD) to add to our team! The Registered Dietitian (RD) will work between four of our JAG facilities spending one day at each facility per week; the fifth day would be flexible to allow you to decide which area needs your attention most. This is a full time position with flexible scheduling working with each facility to meet their specific dietary needs. Although scheduling is flexible you must be able to attend scheduled care conferences which vary for each facility. Applicants must be team-oriented, dependable, have strong communication skills, and comfortable working with both traditional skilled nursing and rehabilitation and cognitive deficit care models.
The four facilities you will be working with are:
- JAG Marion - 45 bed home that is a traditional style skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility.
- JAG Harding - 50 bed home that is cognitive behaviors specific as well as a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility.
- JAG Galion - 45 bed home that is a traditional style skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and memory care facility.
- JAG Shelby - 45 bed home that is cognitive behaviors specific as well as a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility.

Responsibilities: (Include but not limited to)
- Assess nutritional needs, diet restrictions and current health plans to develop and implement dietary-care plans and provide nutritional counseling.
- Approve patient menus and nutritional supplements.
- Advise patients and their families on nutritional principles, dietary plans, diet modifications and food selection and preparation.
- Provide nutritional assessments per facility policy and regulation.
- Counsel individuals and groups on basic rules of good nutrition, healthy eating habits and nutrition monitoring to improve their quality of life.
- Consult with physicians and health care personnel to determine nutritional needs and diet restrictions of patients.
- Monitor food service operations to ensure compliance to nutritional, safety, sanitation and quality standards as per the county, state and federal guidelines.
- Attend scheduled care conferences which vary for each facility.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Planning & Organizing
- Exceptional Communication Skills
- Long term care experience is preferred
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited University in Dietetics, Nutrition or similar field acceptable for licensure.
