POSITION PURPOSE
A brief summary of the purpose this position must fulfill.
Oversee and manage projects from inception through completion, including providing leadership and taking responsibility for the scope, budget, schedule, performance standards, project team, and communications. Serve as liaison between project management and planning, the project team, and line management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage projects from inception through completion. Develop and administer project budgets, schedules, and performance standards.

Facilitate/ lead internal meetings and regular customer meetings to drive timely communication, performance, and understanding of project requirements. This includes meeting organization, agenda preparation, meeting minutes, and actions items.

For CDMO customer projects, serve as the primary liaison between the CDMO customer and Kavis.

Leverage project outcomes locally, assisting other business areas where needed on major projects. Coordinate project activities with other departments and ongoing projects. Handle and respond to requests for changes from the original scope and budget or expense changes.

Review project charters to determine timeframe, budgetary limitations, procedures for accomplishing projects, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various project phases.

Provide leadership and motivation to project team members throughout the project life-cycle.

Responsible for measuring and delivering project outcomes successfully. Implement and/or adapt processes and metrics to ensure project goals and objectives are achieved. Set performance objectives and incorporate feedback from the team and organization for continuous improvement.

Assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority to project personnel. Manage and coordinate activities of project team to ensure the project progresses in scope, on schedule, and within budget.

Issue and communicate project status to site leadership and other stakeholders as appropriate. Manage project issues/risks in a timely manner, escalating when necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS
The qualifications listed below are representative of the minimum knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
KNOWLEDGE
Must possess knowledge of project management concepts, practices, and procedures. Must possess a strong working knowledge of the industry and Kavis as a business, as well as departmental policies and procedures.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must possess excellent analytical, written and verbal communication, interpersonal, planning, problem solving, and project management skills. Must possess a strong work ethic and have good organization, time management, and decision making skills. Must have strong computer skills and be proficient within the Microsoft Office Suite
SUPERVISION
Position functions autonomously.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Grade 35
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 2-4 years of experience. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
Grade 40 – 45
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 4-7 years of experience. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
Project Management Certification preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret complex business and/or technical documents. Ability to write comprehensive reports and detailed business correspondence. Ability to work with groups of people such as other departments and communicate known concepts. Ability to present to a group of departments.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to perform computations such as percentages, ratios, and rates.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve problems with complex variables through non-standardized solutions that require independent judgment and analysis. Ability to draw inferences and use deductive reasoning with no prescribed procedures to solve complex problems.
