We are seeking a part-time (2 days and fill-in for full-time person as needed) Lobby Attendant at the Kinzie Hotel!
Job duties:
Cleaning tasks to include: Clean main lobby (guest sitting area, tile, pictures, sweep edges, clean walls and revolving doors, etc)
Clean front desk area, Director’s office & back office – remove garbage or used boxes
Clean outside/inside entrance of hotel – check planters, clean carpet, sweep entrance
Vacuum and mop (If there’s any spot in the carpets report to your Supervisor or Houseperson)
Clean the glass door and vacuum the mats in front of the elevators
Refill hand sanitizer stations as needed
Floor when raining or snowing will need extra attention throughout the day
Sanitize the elevator buttons and front door handles
Elevators
Stainless steel polished
Elevator tile floor, clean tracks and dust
Double Cross Lounge
Clean tables and floor. Vacuum carpet. F&B will clean after breakfast and evening reception (when used)
Guest Bathrooms (2 Times per Shift)
Men’s (5th floor)/ Women’s (6th floor): Clean, dust, restock toilet paper, fill towel & soap dispenser, remove garbage, sweep and mop the floor, clean and sanitize door and door handles
Fitness Center
Clean all the machines with disinfectant. Restock sanitizing wipes
Clean mirrors with glass cleaner (as needed)
Restock towels and water cups. Remove used towels and garbage
Mop the black mats, vacuum carpet and clean the glass doors
Business Center
Dust the desk, computers, empty garbage
Vacuum the carpet and clean the door
Sales Offices, GM Office and Controller Office
(Wednesday) Dust the furniture
(Tuesday and Thursday) Vacuum the carpets
Clean the door and sanitize door handles
Clean and sanitize bathrooms
Employee Cafeteria
Clean tables and chairs by 10 AM
Sweep and mop the floor
Wipe down counter, soda machine and coffee machine
(Monday): Clean employee refrigerator
Meeting Rooms (2 Boardrooms and Fort Dearborn)
Monday) Vacuum the floors
(Monday) Dust the counters and tables and safely clean TVs
Sanitize door handles and wipe down doors
Employees Locker Rooms (Men’s and Women’s)
Clean, dust, restock toilet paper, fill towel & soap dispenser, remove garbage, sweep and mop the floor, vacuum carpet, clean and sanitize door and door handles
Elevator Landings (6 Floors)
Clean mirror (as needed)
Clean and dust credenzas
Sanitize guest phones (5 total)
Clean TV near elevator on 1st floor
Clean glass door to building lobby on 1st floor. Sanitize door handles
Turn in Keys, Panic Button and Checklist
Other:
Check the public areas as much as you can, work with your Supervisor
- Initial each task when completed. Turn this into the Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager at the end of the shift. Communicate any concerns immediately.
Answer the radio all the time and let your Manager know when you are running out of supplies.
Report any maintenance issue to the Housekeeping Manager or Housekeeping Supervisor.
Standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, wiping, vacuuming, close to 100% of the day.
