Truck Driver Class A CDL - VAN/Tipper Trailer - HOME DAILY
Position Title: VAN DRIVER
Department: DRIVERS/OPERATIONS
Reports to: ROUTE SUPERVISOR
Position Summary:
Perform a variety of waste collection and recycling functions including collecting and transporting waste and recyclable materials from various outside locations. This position will operate one ton and larger delivery vans.
Essential Functions/Position Responsibilities:
· DOT pre-and post-trip inspections (not limited to: checking tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges and controls)
· Operation of company vehicles per DOT and company regulations
· Communication with Route Supervisor of Route Status and Customer Service Group
· Monitor gauges, dials and other indicators
· Fulfill assigned route pick-ups
· Operate hydraulic controls
· Empty truck at established disposal sites
· Clean truck and compactor as needed
· Follows all safety policies and procedures
· Demonstrated knowledge of proper loading and transportation and shipping procedures for commodities.
· Commercial Driver's license and safe driving record.
· Ability to lift 75 lbs.
· Ability to work a flexible schedule when necessary.
· Follow all company policies per Employee Handbook, Safety Guidelines & Code of Conduct.
· Follow all company safety guidelines.
· Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Hiring Requirements/Preferences
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Possess a satisfactory driving record.
Possess a valid Class A CDL. (Class A with Airbrake endorsement)
Minimum1 year CDL driving experience (verifiable)
Strong Work Ethic
Must meet or exceed the medical standard of DOT
Must have a demonstrated ability to follow directions
Must be capable of performing all essential job functions including: heavy lifting, bending, and sitting for extended periods of time
Must be able to complete and maintain driver log
Must have the ability to maintain and or identify equipment maintenance needs.
Must be able to function in extreme temperatures
Be at least age 21 years of age due to nature of working environment.

Multi-task, interpersonal communication, problem solving, and time management skills are needed.
Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors and the general public at all times.
Have the willingness to work in a team environment and assist co–workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by PRATT Safety and OSHA.
You will be expected to be flexible to the needs of our business, as we continually strive to meet and exceed the needs of our customers.
Random and Suspicion Drug tests are performed
