Safety:
- Keep vestibules clean and clear of spills and trash.
- Monitor the front of the store for safety and security risks.
- Respond to the entrances during inclement weather by getting mats down, safety cones visible, cleaning up residual water, etc.
- Assist in emergency situations.
- Provides coverage at three main entrances: grocery, general merchandise, and garden center (when open).
- Make sure the entrances are safe and secure, and report when things aren't right.
Job Description:
- Greet. Help. Thank all customers as they enter and exit the store.
- Act as a visual theft deterrent (NOTE: AP Service Team Associates can only act as a witness to an investigation or detention from a safe distance).
- Stand for long periods of time without a lectern, stool, or chair.
- Handling merchandise, cleaning and zoning will include, but not limited to: grasping, turning, bending, twisting, pulling, stooping, and reaching overhead and below the knees, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight.
- Check all customer receipts.
- Remove and deactivate merchandise protection devices.
- Locate merchandise and other objects that sets off the EAS alarm.
- Observe associate, customer or supplier behavior. Monitoring multiple people at one time.
- Report suspicious activity to the AP Investigators, AP Team Lead or AP Ops Coach.
- Take notes for management about events at the front doors.
- Communicate effectively in person or while using a two-way radio with customers and associates.
- It is important to remember the primary role of AP Service TA is to provide customer service.
Pre-requisites:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Candidate cannot be classified as a minor. A minor is someone under the age of 18 or 18 years of age in school.
- Associates who are extended a job offer must pass a background check to work in Asset Protection.
- The position is not eligible for temporary alternative duty (TAD) following a workplace injury.
