We are a family owned Japanese restaurant in Stevenson Ranch, California. For over 25 years, we have built up a strong relationship with our neighbors and guests. We are looking for someone to continue building this relationship.
Job Summary:
Our restaurant is searching for some experienced Line Cook Chefs and Sushi Chefs who are familiar with the hospitality industry and are concerned with delivering exceptional customer service. The Line Cook Chef and The Sushi Chefs will be responsible for greeting our guests with a warm smile, entertaining our guests, and ensuring an enjoyable, quality dining experience.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
・Minimum of 3 years experience as a Line Cook and Sushi Chef strongly preferred
・Basic understanding of Asian food preferred
・Deliver a consistently high level of customer service to each client, maintain a safe environment and engage with our guests
・Looks for visual and verbal cues to identify the experience the guest wants and customizes the service to meet those expectations
・Learns menu and beverages, expertly recommends and upsells items
・Engaging with guests at the sushi bar to enhance their experience
・Ensures correct food portions are being served and tables clean and sanitized
・Keep the service area clean in accordance with the company's guidelines as well as the requirements of the local health department
・Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism when interacting with guests and dealing with guest complaints
・Accurately rings all orders into the POS system while simultaneously interacting with guests when applicable
*Must be able to work different shifts, including holidays, nights and weekends
*Willing to enhance our menu with your creative ideas
