EXTRUSION LINE OPERATOR JOB DESCRIPTION
The main objective of the extrusion line operator is to produce quality product safely.
Primary Duties
- Machine operation – run the extruder at the recommended settings
- Quality Control – inspect each finished reel as it comes off the line to ensure it meets the standards set forth by engineering
- Testing – test each spool for appropriate attenuation
- Documentation – ensure that all spools that come off of the line are registered in Axapta or placed in the FGIA
- Safety – follow all safety practices that are in place and be aware of any unsafe acts that may occur
Secondary Duties
- Cleaning – clean work area daily during assigned times designated by the shift manager, and when needed after machine cleanouts
- Rework – assist in respooling and testing of product as instructed by your shift manager.
- Inventory control – periodically check supplies needed to run your machine, restock any spools or supplies needed to continue the operation of the line
- Training – attend all training programs and assist in the training of new employees as instructed by your shift manager
Physical requirements:
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Stand for long periods of time
- Walk up and down ladders
