Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Teacher to join our team. As an Assistant Teacher, you will play a key role in providing a nurturing and educational environment for young children. Your responsibilities will include creating and implementing age-appropriate curriculum, fostering social and emotional development, and promoting a love for learning.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum
- Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment
- Provide individualized attention and support to each child
- Encourage positive behavior and teach conflict resolution skills
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to parents/guardians
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive learning community
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and assessments
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding their child's development
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Familiarity with curriculum development and implementation
- Experience working with children with special needs is a plus
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Passion for working with young children and helping them reach their full potential
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Ability to develop age-appropriate curriculum that promotes learning and development in various areas such as math, literacy, and social skills
- Experience in working with children with special needs or autism spectrum disorder is highly desirable
- Strong organizational skills to maintain records of student progress, attendance, and assessments
