CNC Programmers
Qualified Production & Development provides custom machining and manufacturing services to the semi-conductor and other industries. At this time, there are three facility locations in Oregon. The Hillsboro location provides contract manufacturing services for machining and assembly with cleanroom capabilities. Our Tualatin location focuses on prototyping, allowing us to take a product form the prototype through production. Our Cornelius facility provides precision sheet metal manufacturing, rounding out our ability to provide best in class full integration services to our customer base.
POSITION SNAPSHOT
Our team is growing, and we are seeking skilled, experienced CNC Programmers to join our team. Under General Supervision of the Production Manager, the role's primary responsibility is to create programs to run parts on CNC Lathes, CNC Mills and EDM machines, as well as to update existing part programs to new machining processes and new tooling technology. Extensive experience working in manufacturing, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work independently are all qualities we are looking for in a candidate. Schedule:
- Day shift (Mon-Thurs, 10 hour days)
- Swing shift (Mon-Thurs, 10 hour days)
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Create programs and/or update programs to customer supplied files.
- Research using vendors websites to determine correct cutting tools programmed into the program.
- Design holding fixtures if required, for part fabrication.
- Assist machinists with program processes.
- Assist inspection in writing First Article Inspection Reports and In Process Inspection reports, giving critical dimensions from prints.
- Assist machinists with part measurements for entries for First Article Inspection and In-Process Inspection reports.
- Participate in quoting new parts to customers' print.
- Stay current with new versions of programming software.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- 3-5 years experience programming CNC Mills, Lathes 3, 4 and 5 axis machines.
- 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing or production environment, including machining experience.
- High level of math skill, including statistics, geometry, fractions, percentages, ratios and percentages.
- Experience using current version of Master Cam.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Eligible to work in the U.S.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
- Experience programming with ESPRIT.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
A temperature-controlled production shop floor environment requiring sitting/standing for extended periods of time utilizing computer, keyboard and mouse; may include infrequent lifting up to 60 lbs, occasional pulling or bending at the knees. Exposure to dirt and dust. Personal protective equipment (safety glasses, ear protection, safety shoes, shields etc.) may be required. General shop environment with exposure to moderate levels of noise in a well-lit, well-ventilated, and fast paced setting.
Workload may be unpredictable, and pressure increased during peak times. Critical deadlines require considerable flexibility and adaptability. Disturbances of workflow and/or irregularities in work schedule may occur on an intermittent basis. Extra hours may be required, sometimes on weekends, weekdays, and holidays.
