The Field Irish Pub has been in the Gaslamp for over 25 years! We are looking to add a Kitchen Manager/ Lead Line Cook to our staff.
A kitchen manager oversees daily operations in a kitchen, managing staff, ensuring food safety, and maintaining inventory. They coordinate menu planning, supervise cooking processes, and enforce hygiene standards. Additionally, kitchen managers will take care of all kitchen/bar ordering, scheduling for kitchen staff and maintaining all health standards.
Duties
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes and quality standards
- Ensure that all food is prepared in a safe and sanitary manner
- Follow proper food handling and storage procedures
- Collaborate with the dietary department to plan menus and ensure dietary restrictions are met
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations
Skills
- Previous experience in the food service industry or a similar role
- Knowledge of food handling and preparation techniques
- Familiarity with menu planning and recipe execution
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Proficiency in using kitchen equipment, including knives
