Position Overview - We are seeking a highly skilled “hands on” information technology professional to provide comprehensive IT strategic direction, management oversight and support to a private high net-worth individual, his family, the family office staff, and subsidiary business ventures.
The candidate must have extensive experience in providing “white glove” executive support, managing IT infrastructure, and implementing cutting-edge technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
· End-to-End “white glove” IT Support: Provide exceptional IT support to a private high net-worth individual, his family, and approximately 20 family office employees. Must troubleshoot a wide array of issues quickly.
· IT Infrastructure Management: Oversee IT infrastructure for the main headquarters and private residences, including network appliances (switches, firewalls, dedicated ISP circuits, IPSec VPN tunnels), security camera systems, VoIP, etc.
· Cloud Migration and Management: Implement and manage AWS, Azure AD, and Okta services, migrate on-premises equipment to cloud, and utilize Microsoft 365 functionalities for device management (Intune, CrowdStrike, etc.).
· Property Technology Integration: Collaborate with the property director to design and implement technology upgrades for existing properties and new buildouts, including A/V, sophisticated whole-home lighting, and shade systems.
· Travel Support: Available to travel with the family if necessary to ensure seamless technology experiences during trips.
· New Business Ventures: Build and support technology platforms for new business ventures initiated or invested in by the principal.
· 24/7 On-Call for Support: Provide 7/24 IT support, including escalating issues to vendors when necessary. Remote and onsite.
· Technology Enhancement: Continuously improve the technology experience for the principal by staying updated with the latest technology trends and implementing necessary upgrades.
Required Qualifications:
· Experience: Minimum of 10 years of hands-on IT support experience, particularly in supporting senior executives and managing high-stakes IT environments. 5+ years of “white glove” executive support.
· Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Windows (desktop and server), Mac OS, Apple iOS, Android OS, Active Directory, AWS, Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Exchange, Cisco iOS/ASA, VPN, routing/switching, Ubiquiti UniFi, Intune, CrowdStrike, and more.
· Cloud and Network Management: Strong experience in managing cloud services (AWS), network infrastructure, and security systems.
· Project Management: Demonstrated ability to lead IT projects, manage vendors, and ensure project timelines are met.
· Problem-Solving: Exceptional troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve issues promptly and efficiently.
· Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with VIP clients and coordinate with various IT departments.
· Confidentiality: Ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Special Skills:
· Advanced networking (configuration and installation of both LAN and WAN), business aviation technology, home automation (Crestron, Lutron, Savant), mobile device management, and rapid deployment of technology solutions.
