Job Description:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical accountant who will be responsible for managing our company's financial records, conducting bookkeeping tasks, and performing financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, extensive experience with QuickBooks, and a proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks software.
- Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
- Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and support business initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Participate in audits and assist in the preparation of audit schedules and documentation.
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and support as required by management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proven experience working as an accountant, preferably in the manufacturing or construction industry.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
