Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor - Behavioral Health
Shift Availability:
- Monday - Thursday 3pm-11pm w/ Every Other Weekend Rotation
- Monday - Thursday 11pm-7am w/ Every Other Weekend Rotation
- Weekend Shift - Friday, Saturday, Sunday 7am-7pm
Dover Behavioral Health System is a 104-bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in the beautiful Dover, Delaware area. Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily shift operations under Nurse Management's direction, ensuring patient needs are met
- Serve as a leader for nursing department staff and other hospital professionals
- Identify and resolve operational problems promptly; mediate patient/family/visitor issues; handle escalated hospital issues
- Maintain appropriate nursing unit staffing coverage; enforce hospital policies and procedures
- Evaluate nursing staff performance and participate in hospital policy implementation
- Administer medications and treatments accurately; ensure proper documentation and patient care
Registered Nurse (RN) Job Requirements:
- Current license to practice nursing in the State of Delaware (or eligible to receive or renew) required
- Leadership experience required
- Current BLS certification preferred
*UHS benefits are available to employees who are regularly scheduled to work at least 30 hours per week. Coverage is effective on day 31 of employment. Eligibility for employees who are scheduled to work less than 30 hours per week varies by location.
Dover Behavioral Health System is a STAR LRP-approved facility! The Substance Use Disorder Treatment and Recovery Loan Repayment Program is intended for individuals working in a full-time direct care role in either a CDC designated substance use disorder (SUD) location, or Mental Health Professional Shortage Area. As such, qualified staff will be able to have their student loans paid off (up to $250,000). RNs qualify!
