Responsibilities:
Facilitate transportation (truck pickups and deliveries) of all finished goods and raw materials
- Use various systems to facilitate material movement, planning, and scheduling
- Prepare and update monthly logistics schedule to assure timely deliveries
- Coordinate product delivery schedules with customers
- Track location and movement of inventory, finished goods, and raw materials. Provide reports to internal and
external customers as required
- Organizes and maintains documentation supporting order fulfillment, distribution means, pricing, and other
contractual obligations
- Codes and prepares proper paperwork for billing and authorization of a variety of invoices per defined
processes
- Initiates overcharge/undercharge freight bill claims with carriers and tracks reconciliation of the same
- Re-routes freight as needed to meet demands and minimize costs
- Reviews inventory position daily against outstanding orders and sales forecasts and acts to expedite inbound
shipments to meet customer demands as necessary
- Ensures that goods are shipped in the most timely and efficient manner according to documented processes,
including planning transportation routes and payload, selecting mode of transportation, tendering the order for
transportation, and tracking the shipment from pick up through delivery.
- Target cost reduction, freight savings, service, and contractual requirements as top priorities
- Provide a first-class customer service experience by developing working relationships with customers and
resolving customer problems and complaints to ensure customer satisfaction in a timely manner
Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED required
1-2 years’ experience in warehouse operation and logistics coordination
Must be able to work overtime as needed
Experience in food manufacturing preferred
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite in addition to knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures
Spanish speaking preferred
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to use a keyboard and telephone. Frequent sitting,
talking, hearing, and occasional standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, lifting 50lbs, ability to adjust vision for
close vision work. Occasional exposure to airborne dust, high humidity and extreme heat are possible in the plant.
