We are currently accepting applications for an energetic, experienced Night Auditor to join the team here at Embassy Suites Orlando Lake Buena Vista South. Our award-winning property is 300 suites with 40,000 sq. ft. of meeting, pre-function, and event space. We have a well-tenured management team, which runs this very busy hotel and convention center in an exceptional manner with high standards, expectations, and strong results orientation.
Scope of Position
Candidate must be able to ensure a timely and accurate completion of the End of Day Process. Responsibilities include ensuring a smooth and effective 3rd shift operation which includes accurately completing daily statistical reports. Must be flexible to complete any additional tasks assigned by management.
Position Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of Night Audit experience in a hotel, preferred.

Able to handle a multitude of tasks in an ever-changing environment.

Effective at listening to, understanding, clarifying, and responding to the concerns and issues raised by guests and members.
Primary Responsibilities

To ensure a smooth, effective 3rd shift operation.
-
To provide assistance in Front Desk areas.
-
To accurately complete daily statistical reports.
-
To ensure front desk agents compliance with accounting and auditing procedures.

To audit and close down Squirrel.
-
To audit daily front desk work.
-
To bring down computer interface.
-
To ensure accurate and timely completion of auditing procedures.
-
To ensure system is in balance through the Preliminary audit function.

To ensure timely completion of the End of Day report.

To report items necessitating attention.
-
To summarize and report restaurants and bars activity for previous day.

To be prepared to discuss occupancy results and evening activity to management.

To complete any other tasks requested by Front Office Manager.

To command working knowledge of the Logistics system.

To command working knowledge of accounting procedures.

To command working knowledge of Front desk operation.

To command working knowledge of computer interface.

To command working knowledge of Excel and Word.
Education
-
High school diploma or GED
Skills and Abilities
-
Ability to communicate in the English language. Second language is a plus.

Strong problem solving and analytical abilities.

Ability to create and maintain spreadsheets.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, or divide quickly, correctly, and in a way that allows one to solve work-related issues.

Experience using computers and software programs such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

Ability to work flexible schedules including holidays and weekends and able to perform multiple tasks.
Physical Requirements

On a continuous basis, stand at a desk for long periods of time in front of a computer screen.

Must be physically fit to lift, pull, and push items up to 50 pounds.

Requires standing/walking/reaching and bending throughout shift.
