Position Summary:
A Forklift Operator is a person whose role in an organization is to operate powered industrial trucks, and manage production workflow. A forklift operator, or material handler, is a certified associate responsible for controlling heavy machinery to move materials around a worksite. Their duties include preparing merchandise and securing it for safe, easy transport, using radio communications to determine priorities and ensure preventative maintenance and/or repairs are completed on forklifts and other tools. The ideal candidate is exceptionally detail oriented, and able to track multiple facets at any given time.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Complete daily pre-shift inspection checklists are completed and company guidelines are followed

Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices

Report the effectiveness of operational activities and equipment requirements

Confer and coordinate activities with reporting manager
- Input, retrieve and analyze data accurately

Be certified to meet Powered Industrial Trucks standards per OSHA and company policy

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Read, comprehend, and carry out all work instructions, ability to count and do simple math, and write simple correspondence

Careful attention to detail

Safely demonstrate operating practices and procedures
Job Requirements:

18 years of age or older

Ability to read, speak, and write English fluently (ability to speak multiple languages is a plus)

A minimum of 1 year job experience in a related field

Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time

Able to lift up to 25lbs multiple times throughout the shift
- Able to lift 50lbs with or without accommodation

Able to travel to various sites when needed

Work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment

Work as a team with other co-workers
