While there is some in office time in this position, most of your day is driven by what you need to do to have great success! You have the flexibility to control how your day is structured. To be great in this sales position, you need to be self-motivated and a fast learner; however, you don’t need to be a signage expert. Our training process and support teams are there to make you successful with the products we sell.
HighTech Signs DFW is the leading signage company in North Texas. Based in Dallas, we have been helping businesses bring their signage to life for 30 years. Our motto is “Visually Limitless” which means that with any design we can handle all the technical and aesthetic aspects to make it a reality. 90% of our manufacturing and installation is done in-house, which means you have great control over quality and timelines for your customers. The current customer base includes property management firms, construction companies, schools, regional cities, large medical facilities, airlines, manufacturing facilities, travel & leisure companies, other signage companies, and numerous smaller clients.
The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for developing strong client relationships and supporting them long-term with their signage needs. This role is expected to generate sales and establish core, repeat customers. This position is expected to operate independently, and time can be allocated between remote, client meetings, in the shop as needed to support the sales cycle. The role is supported by an in-house marketing team and supplemented by internet and outbound marketing.
The sales representative is expected to develop and execute a marketing plan and achieve required customer contact ratios and conversion percentages.
Pay Structure:
- Top employees can average six figures and commissions are uncapped.
- During the initial 4-week training period you earn a flat hourly rate based on prior experience. The first month is exposure to the production shop, processes, and allowing you to build a pipeline of business.

Training:
- 4-week training period, Monday – Friday. In-house sales, sales platform and product familiarization
- General business hours 8am – 4pm
Responsibilities:
- Develop a marketing plan that targets key customers
- Achieve sales production metrics that result in converted sales
- Manage inbound customer leads (internet, phone, and existing customers)
- Develop and price sales estimates
- Present estimates to customers and convert to invoices
- Monitor the manufacturing process and engage as needed (e.g., clarification of any design questions with your customer)
- Assist as needed with any required installation scheduling
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of sales experience
- Signage sales experience is a positive but not required
- Ability to learn pricing software to structure and price estimates
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to negotiate contracts and set priorities (both orally and in writing)
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, computers, and related software
- Reliable Transportation, driver’s license, and possess vehicle insurance
