SUMMARY: Lee Fish USA is a premium seafood importer, bringing in daily seafood shipments from around the world to distribute throughout North America. Working from our headquarters in El Segundo, CA, the Office Document Clerk will perform a wide range of administrative duties to support the Operations department.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adhere to all safety rules and policies.
- Prepare documentation prior to flight arrival/departure, review, organize, make copies and distribute accordingly.
- Coordinate cargo check-in with warehouse staff.
- Coordinate export cargo build-up and release with warehouse staff.
- Work with export customers to arrive and release all cargo and documents to the correct trucking company and airline.
- Ensure all CBP and TSA rules and regulations are followed without fail for both import and export respectively.
- Create Import and Export logs and enter data correctly into said logs.
- Create folders and files for all import and export records.
- Housekeeping; clean and organize the office and surrounding areas.
- Notify Broker or Freight Forwarder on the Master Airway Bill (MAWB) of shipment’s arrival at the warehouse facility.
- Work with government agencies to clear shipments for import and export.
- Provide assistance to customers arriving to retrieve their documents and freight.
- Prepares invoices for charges, airline clients, and management regarding freight
- Collect and secure the appropriate charges and document the method of payment.
- Process proof of delivery for every transaction before the customer’s departure.
- Confirm all bookings are accepted
- Confirm Dangerous Goods have been checked within aircraft limits.
- Data capture AWB information received from the warehouse.
- File maintenance of all pertinent documents and records.
- Prepare various reports (Irregularity Report, Weekly Import Statistics)
- Follow specific procedures for cargo that is abandoned and must be reported to G.O.
- Answer telephone and respond to incoming calls and or e-mails in a timely manner.
- Challenge entry of anyone into the warehouse based on LAWA, CBP, and TSA regulations to maintain the security of the facility and the AOA.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems
