Eagle Integrated Services (EIS) is looking for an innovative software architect who has at least a minimum of seven (7) years of experience working with senior level non-technical personnel and possesses a technical background that enables them to interact and provide guidance to the technical development team. As a cloud architect, your duties will include designing and implementing cloud solutions for the CDC National Program of Cancer Registries, ensuring the smooth functioning of cloud systems with minimal downtime. Aids in the establishment of best practices for cloud adoption, and works with other team members to monitor cloud privacy and address technical issues.
Key Experience and Skills:
- Enhance and maintain CS-CBCP environments to support pathology reporting services.
- Develop pathology reporting service to receive ePath reports in HL7© 2.5.1 format and route reports to the appropriate CCRs' secure message queue.
- Develop and maintain documentation of applications, services, and functionality implemented on CS-CBCP.
- Develop services to facilitate reporting from Laboratory Information System (LIS) to CS- CBCP that will include functionality to:
- Create HL7© 2.5.1 messages from a standardized MS Excel format.
- Provide a secure transport service.
- Pilot with at least two CCRs and two laboratories
- Participate in team meetings with CDC and other professional staff to provide updates on system development, documentation, training, and technical assistance activities.
- Enhance and maintain CS-CBCP environments to support Web Plus services.
Minimum Requirements:
- A minimum of 7 years of experience working with senior level non-technical personnel and possesses a technical background that enables them to interact and provide guidance to the technical development team.
- Working knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and/or Microsoft Azure, or experience building high-availability or High traffic infrastructure.
- At least 7 years’ working experience with Linux and Windows designing solutions with technologies such as: MSSQL, Windows Server 2012, IIS 7 & 8 Exchange, Active Directory, VMWare, Hyper-V, etc.
- Demonstrates experience and working knowledge of software development practices, solution implementation, disaster recovery process, and security requirements for patient identifiable information (PII).
- Strong team oral and written collaboration, skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, business analysts, other developers, engineers, as well as other professional and scientific personnel.
Required Experience:
Preferred Education, Certifications, and Soft Skills/Experience:
- Working knowledge of the CDC National Program of Cancer Registries
- Experience in cancer registry operations is highly preferred
- Experienced in customer service
- Ability to work well under pressure
Physical Requirements:
- Indoors in a normal office environment and/or partial to full work from home. May require extensive periods of sitting or standing. Frequent computer uses at workstation for several hours at a time. Frequently work at a fast pace with unscheduled interruptions.
