Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas is seeking applicants for a full‐time position as Assistant Professor in the School of Health Professions (SHP) to teach graduate-level foundational science courses for health professions students. Initial teaching responsibilities will include serving as Course Director and teaching in the Pharmacology course series, teaching in the Clinical Biochemistry course, and teaching in the Physiology course series. Subsequent teaching responsibilities will include serving as Course Director for the Physiology course series and Clinical Biochemistry course. Additional expectations would be to collaborate on the planning and teaching of research methods courses for health professions students, all of whom are required to complete a thesis or dissertation. This is a teaching position within the School of Health Professions although effort toward scholarship/research will be expected and could include the scholarship of teaching and learning. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and energetic individual who is ready to develop and apply innovations in teaching and evaluation in a highly collaborative environment.
The faculty member will lead the general organization, development, and delivery of foundational sciences courses within the School of Health Professions.
