Position Summary:
The GIS Account Manager sells GIS products and services. The Account Manager generates leads, qualifies those leads, converts leads into opportunities, manages the sales process from beginning to end ultimately closing sales. The GIS Account Manager develops sales plans for their designated regions, communicates both internally and externally, builds relationships with current and prospective clients, develops sales forecasts and assists development and execution of BHA’s overall sales strategies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The GIS Account Manager takes on the following responsibilities:
- Develops contacts with potential customers.
- Manages contact with established accounts at the direction of the Director of Sales and Marketing.
- Closes sales for GIS products and services as directed by the Director of Sales and Marketing..
- Assists in the development of overall long and short-term regional sales plans and forecasts.
- Assists in the coordination of marketing opportunities including attendance of conferences, conventions and other client meetings.
- Assists in the coordination of advertising and promotions through professional organization newsletters, magazines, etc.
- Provides input on fee estimates.
- Assists in the development of proposals and contracts.
- Presents products and services to clients.
- Provides input for company products and pricing initiatives.
- Assists with regional business plans.
- Assists with product development initiatives.
- Assists in the development of marketing products and regional marketing plans.
- Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
Qualifications:
- Experience in sales of geospatial solutions such as GIS especially land records based GIS solutions, aerial imagery, GIS software sales, mapping applications or related fields
- Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or related field
- Ability to generate new sales, create sales forecasts and meet sales revenue targets
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Experience with the development of proposals and contracts
- Ability and experience in presenting GIS concepts to large groups of people
- Experience with developing regional sales plans
- Experience with Esri’s ArcGIS platform
Working conditions:
Normal remote-office working environment.
Travel working environment: Must have a valid driver’s license. Must be able to travel regularly including overnight stays and have the ability to cover reimbursable travel expenses on a monthly basis.

Salary: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year plus commission
