Key Responsibilities:
- Create and prepare high-quality sushi dishes in accordance with restaurant standards.
- Ensure the freshness and quality of fish and ingredients.
- Develop and implement new sushi recipes and menu items.
- Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation requirements.
- Manage sushi bar operations, including inventory and supply ordering.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff.
- Engage with guests to provide an exceptional dining experience.
- Stay updated on current trends and techniques in sushi preparation
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef with a minimum of 3 years in a high-volume sushi restaurant.
- Proficient in various sushi preparation techniques and knife skills.
- Extensive knowledge of Japanese cuisine, ingredients, and culinary culture.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Culinary degree or certification in Japanese cuisine is a plus.
- Food Handler’s Certification (or ability to obtain). **Required**
- Must be available on weekends.
