Position Description:
Ideal candidates are financially driven and will lead the team to achieve the overarching goals of the business. The Laboratory Manager is expected to understand the metrics of the practice and to quickly adapt to the needs of the practice. Responsibilities
- Management
- Oversee operations including the laboratory team and the facility.
- Ensure proper facilitation of business systems including marketing, sales, fulfillment, and service.
- Oversee scheduling, payroll, and timesheets
- Ensure proper communication and delivery between internal and external laboratories
- Ensure successful scheduling of surgeries with appropriate medical clearances
- Enure compliance requirements are met to governing board standards and internal protocols
- Facilitate training for new and existing team members as necessary
- Hire team members within the scope of the practice vision and needs
- Execute tasks related to accounts payable and receivable
- Maintain and contribute to company culture
- Laboratory Work
- Responsibilities:
- Fabricate fixed dental prosthetics which are primarily full contour zirconia dental implant restorations. Occasionally, single and multiple unit zirconia bridges.
- Read and interpret prescriptions, dental impressions, and specifications from dentists to ensure accurate production of dental appliances.
- Utilize various dental laboratory equipment, such as Roland milling machines, 3D printers, sintering furnaces, Miyo and Soprano stain and glaze, hand tools, to shape and refine dental prosthetics.
- Cut back for zirconia prosthetics
- Perform quality control checks on finished products to ensure they meet industry standards and patient expectations.
- Collaborate with dentists and other members of the dental team to discuss patient cases and customize prosthetics for optimal fit and function.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental laboratory workspace, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Stay current with advancements in dental technology and materials to continuously improve skills and techniques.
- Assist with inventory management by tracking supplies and materials used in the production of dental prosthetics.
- Quality Assurance
- Frequently audit team performance evaluating the quality of completed tasks

Team Performance
- Evaluate team member performance guiding team members to desired output and quality standards
- Diplomatically deliver performance feedback to team members
- Make recommendations and/or decisions to reposition team members, crosstrain, and/or terminate based on company protocols and processes
- Conduct meetings to deliver updates and organize team efforts in support of a common goal
- Delegate tasks and projects to appropriate team members
- Hiring
- Conduct interviews to screen new potential team members
- Make recommendations and/or hiring decisions for potential candidates
- Onboard team members verifying proper documentation and processes
- Financials
- Review KPIs and productivity raising concerns or questions as necessary
Qualifications
- Ability to motivate others on a team and help them succeed
- Multitasking skills and the ability to tend to multiple problems at a time
- At least three years experience delegating tasks to a team
- Experience with Exocad and laboratory designs
- Experience with ceramics
- Problem-solving skills, especially in situations of high stress
- Strong knowledge of company policy, goals and standards
- Organizational skills to manage large amounts of information
- Ability to generate a variety of reports and presentations displaying regional performance
- Strong customer service skills in the areas of handling disputes and treating customers with care
- Proven experience as a Dental Lab Technician or similar role in a dental laboratory setting.
- Proficiency in dental laboratory techniques, including casting, molding, and model making.
- Strong understanding of dental anatomy, occlusion, and prosthetic design principles.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and digital dental technology is preferred.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for working with small, delicate materials.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with dentists and other dental professionals.
- Certification or licensure as a Dental Technician is advantageous.

Training Expectations
We offer hands-on training and expect candidates to rapidly understand the practice systems and processes while adapting to company growth. Training period conducted in Irvine and Fullerton locations.
