Summary:
The HS Treasurer will work closely with the principal to ensure completion of all tasks aligned to finance to ensure compliance with the annual financial audit. Specifically, the treasurer will manage staff attendance and payroll functions in the Red Rover Platform, will create requisitions, receive items, purchase orders and check requests using Title I funds and school funds and the P-card.
Knowledge of Title I spending guidelines eperience using financial platforms such as Lawson, and has a strong working kowledge of Microsoft and Google Drive applications.
Performs a variety of complex bookkeeping, administrative and secretarial duties requiring an awareness of virtually everything happening in a school environment. Work involves independently preparing routine correspondence; compiling information for reports; maintaining complete computer-based accounting systems; and performing technical accounts payable functions. Employee is responsible for maintaining school-related files of a variety of records, reports, documents and correspondence using computer driven programs and assimilating information from multiple sources to compose letters, generate reports and provide informational data.
Essential Duties: (These duties represent a sample and may vary by position.)
Maintains a large, multi-fund bookkeeping system using a computerized accounting program
Verifies and receipts collections from teachers and other school personnel in addition to high volume club fundraising activities
Verifies and receipts collections for numerous high school athletic events and creates payment for athletic event officials
Maintains inventory of school supplies and orders items as needed. Checks prices for supplies, types and codes requisitions and keys orders in an on-line processing system. Verifies supply orders and distributes to appropriate personnel
Creates deposits daily, issues local requisitions for school funds
Verifies invoices for payment and enters accounting transactions into the system;
Generates monthly reports including bank reconciliations and the Statement of Receipts and Disbursements
Education and EXperience:
High School Degree plus additional secretarial coursework
3 Years of Accounting/Bookkeeping Experience Including Some Secretarial Experience
