1.0 SUMMARY
Operates production equipment, responsible for manufacturing and assembly of commercial products. Follows blueprints and procedures to ensure product specifications and tolerance levels are met. Maintains required records of production and reports any inconsistencies or equipment issues following standard procedures. May assist with testing of production output. Typically requires 5yrs of previous work experience. Reports to shop supervisor. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function.
2.0 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Configure, assemble, assist test, electrodynamic shakers and their support equipment
· Perform modifications on hardware when needed
· Interpret assembly and test instructions, engineering prints, and schematics.
· Fill out manufacturing check lists to ensure proper assembly practices are followed.
· Basic machining and fabrication.
· Provide status regarding outstanding projects
· Proactively participate in maintaining company ISO 9001:2015 standards
· Provides feedback on manufacturing inconsistencies
· Oversees small team of assemblers and ensures they are performing duties affectively and timely.

· Assumes additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
· Assist operations personnel when necessary.

3.0 SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS
Has deep familiarity with electro-mechanical assembly. Must be mechanically inclined and enjoy working with their hands. Must have knowledge of lifting and safety practices for heavy objects. Ability to work with hand and power tools. Ability to use calibrated equipment such as calipers, micrometers and torque wrenches. Experience leading small team of personnel.

Shop personnel will be required to be standing most of the day, utilizing hand tools and lifting parts. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts, and risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud depending on the location.
