The Engineering Supervisor - Facilities is responsible for assisting the Engineering Manager Facilities in handling facility maintenance, assisting in special projects, and manufacturing maintenance activities. Assists in forklift certifications and HAZMAT training. Assists in management of HVAC and security systems updates.
Responsibilities and Essential Duties
- Supports Engineering Manager Facilities with all aspects of regulatory compliance and program management.
- Ensures timely completion of activities and tasks assigned.
- Ensures all PMs and WOs are completed on time with proper documentation.
- Works with management teams to identify, develop, and implement continuous improvement projects applicable to both regulatory and operational improvements.
- Assists and participates with internal safety improvement teams and initiatives.
- Stays current with laws and regulations set forth by State, Local, and Federal Agencies as they relate to Environmental Health and Safety.
- Adheres to all safety policies and procedures including, but not limited to, Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) (ensuring machinery is off before performing maintenance or repair), hot work, confined spaces work, use of powered industrial machines, etc.
- Provides sound knowledge to support the security and well-being of the facility and its people. Understands the importance of risk assessments and threat management, pilfering reduction, and access/visitation enforcement.
- Assists in all aspects of maintenance as required by the situation.
- Supports regulatory compliance.
- Ensures all contractor and support suppliers are supervised while on-site.
