Be part of a World Class manufacturer of closed cell, cross-linked block foams. Our full process manufacturing facility includes plastic extrusion lines and high-pressure nitrogen gassing. The manufacturing facility utilizes a proprietary process to create foam that is superior in uniformity, strength, consistency, quality, and purity superior to foams produced by other methods. Products are used in a wide range of markets including automotive, aviation, aerospace, construction, medical, health and beauty, packaging, transporting, and sports and leisure.
Zotefoams is growing! The maintenance team is expected to be part of the success of the company. You will be asked to participate and provide feedback to help on the road to World Class foam production. In addition, you will be involved in the new introduction of robotics into our processes. We practice 5S, Kaizen, Kanban, and lean manufacturing.
Job Summary:
Our Maintenance positions are expected to be self-starters responsible for performing a broad range of diverse duties including the installation, modification, maintenance (including PPM’s), troubleshooting and repair of production and facility equipment to the standards required to our meet goals and objectives. This position requires a commitment to flexibility relative to shift hours to support a 24/7 facility.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform work in a safe manner at all times, and in accordance with all safety procedures, work instructions, and training.
- Responsible for maintenance manufacturing and plant equipment for efficient, 24-hour manufacturing operations and provide emergency or unscheduled repairs to production equipment during production operations.
- Communicate with maintenance and manufacturing management to ensure that manufacturing requirements are met and that equipment breakdowns are attended to on a priority basis.
- Perform tasks including, but not limited to, the maintenance of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, including the troubleshooting and repair of process and production equipment.
- Assist with PPM system set up and maintenance. Carry out routine planned preventative maintenance, calibration maintenance and equipment cleaning tasks, in accordance with company procedures and equipment maintenance manuals.
- Report the operational status of all equipment; including detecting and reporting faulty and abnormal equipment operation and a plan to return to production.
- Assist with the introduction of additional equipment, the development of existing plant and equipment, with cost reduction or efficiency improvement projects.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Use of Outlook, Excel, Word, and CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management System)
- Plastics Extrusion and associated systems
- Mechanical, Fitting (precision machine assembly bearings/alignment etc.)
- Electrical/PLC/Automation
- Motors (servo’s and VFD)
- Fluid Systems (Hydraulic and Pneumatic)
- Pump control and maintenance (Centrifugal, diaphragm, Mag Drive)
- Temperature control systems
- Instrument Calibration
- Shop Fabrication, Welding/Machining/Milling/Turning
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Associate degree preferred.
- Demonstrated skills in maintenance with 3 to 5 years of work experience and education.
- Prior PPM system use: implementation and set up experience a real plus!
- Ability to read and interpret documents; safety rules, work instructions, blueprints, diagrams, schematics, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal/written communication skills, able to communicate effectively to facilitate the cross-fertilization of ideas.
- Team oriented.
- Prior work experience with plastics/polymer manufacturing equipment a real plus!
- Travel and passport may be required.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to traverse the facility.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
Two openings (one day and one night). The 12-hour continental shift pattern consists of nights (6am – 6:30pm or 6pm - 6:30am).
Schedule consists of an alternating 36 or 48-hour work week and includes every other weekend and holidays as they fall.
Night and weekend differentials apply.
