Jocott Brands - a rapidly growing beauty and personal care products company with a portfolio of brands sold in multiple channels of trade - is looking for a finance savvy, highly creative, innovative and detail-oriented Product Development Manager who can thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where multi-tasking is essential. Our key accounts include T.J. Maxx, Marshalls, Home Goods, Urban Outfitters and Amazon with lines for additional retailers in development.
Key Responsibilities
- Rapidly develop new brands and line extensions for existing brands considering competitive landscape and current trends in active ingredients, componentry and package design.
- Manage these new product launches from concept to delivery, with a strong focus on design and time/cost management, ensuring a full pipeline of products with an appropriate cadence to meet the demand of our retailers.
- Manage individual product P&Ls to ensure profitability of each new launch - includes gathering quotes and negotiating pricing with various vendors.
- Facilitate cross functional team collaboration around product ideation, product development, component sourcing, design and manufacturing ensuring timely delivery of on-trend products.
- Collaborate with all department heads to help structure and formalize processes as company grows rapidly and expands into new product categories and classes of trade.
Qualifications
- MUST HAVE A PASSION FOR BEAUTY & PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS AND AN IMPECCABLE SENSE OF DESIGN
- MUST BE ABLE TO QUICKLY IDEATE NEW PRODUCTS IN ALL CATEGORIES OF BEAUTY AND PERSONAL CARE AND PROVIDE A BROAD RANGE OF DESIGN INSPIRATION
- Bachelor's Degree, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience
- 3+ years of marketing/product development experience in beauty/personal care supporting new product launches and effectively interacting with buyers
- Proven project management skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment, prioritize objectives and exercise independent judgment based on an understanding of organizational policies and activities
- Proactive and enthusiastic personality with the ability to work well both individually and in team environments
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint
- Social media and tech savvy
- Experience with off-price retailers a plus
- Experience with Regulatory & Compliance required (Eurofins a plus)
