The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for the overall cleanliness and care of the hotel asset. The Executive Housekeeper supervises the housekeeping and laundry for hotel, to include guestrooms, meeting space and public areas. This person manages the housekeeping staff and ensures the hotel cleanliness meets and exceeds Marriott brand standards. This position will require office and hands on work, such as, scheduling housekeeping staff and inspection of guestrooms and public space. This position is also responsible for coordinating with contractors and vendors, for the department.
Executive Housekeeper Requirements:
· Ability to manage all functions related to the cleanliness of the hotel’s guest rooms, floors and public areas.
· 2-3 Years’ experience in Management or Supervisory level
· Bilingual (English/ Spanish)
· Previous Executive Housekeeping experience preferred
Essential Functions:
· Supervises Housekeeping staff to include hiring, terminating, disciplinary action, performance evaluations, training and development.
· Assists General Manager in development of the department's annual budget. Monitors performance against Plan.
· Establishes and maintains cost control systems for staffing linen inventories and cleaning supplies.
· Enforces hotel and department policies and procedures.
· Ensures quality services are rendered in meeting guest needs and enhancing guest relations.
· Schedules subordinates, maintaining adequate staffing levels while adhering to labor standards guidelines and forecasted occupancy.
· Maintains room quality based on hotel and corporate objectives.
· Monitors and maintains high level of cleanliness in rooms, storage areas, laundry, rest rooms, and public areas.
· Compiles information and accurately reports status of guest rooms to Front Desk.
· Enforces standard procedures for the acceptance, security and return of guest lost and found items.
· Maintains productivity and labor cost goals.
· Conducts inventories of linen, supplies, and equipment as required.
· Orders and receives supplies to maintain adequate inventory levels.
