Description:
Intrepid Solutions is seeking AV Integration/Maintenance Technician to join our Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Team comprised of AV Subject Matter Expert, AMX/Crestron/Extron programmers, engineers, integration, and maintenance technicians. Provide AV communications and media support for AV-related system components and programs. This AV Integration/Maintenance Technician is located in the Washington DC/National Capital Region location.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct hardware maintenance and minor installations on equipment.
- Undertake minor system tasks (e.g., loading software and rebooting systems) in support of hardware maintenance and operations functions.
- Install and incorporate new releases, updates, or other changes to COTS hardware and software (diagnostics failures or potential failure predictions).
- Operate and apply automated hardware management and diagnostics systems, including remote management and diagnostics) and interpret findings to maintain, repair, or upgrade hardware.
- Coordinate maintenance of AV equipment.
- Plan, execute, and provide recommendations for preventative maintenance.
- Provide recommendations on spares, spares program, planning, and tracking operational spares and bench stock.
- Provide technical assistance to responding field service personnel.
OPERATING HOURS AND EXPECTATIONS: This is a full-time position that operates 100% onsite unless otherwise indicated by, and at the discretion of, the Program Manager and customer. Work will occur between the operating hours of 0600 and 1800.
TRAVEL: This position will require some local travel to various Customer sites for installations and other project objectives. This travel will be within the DMV.
Qualifications:
- Clearance: Active Top Secret (TS) SCI clearance required; CI Polygraph will be scheduled for selected candidates.
- Education: Associates degree in Communications Electronics, Networking, or equivalent electronics technical program Certificate. Two years of related work experience can substitute for an Associate's Degree. Relevant certifications are considered equivalent to education or experience requirements.
- Skills and Experience:
- Troubleshooting and repairing AV systems and video teleconference systems.
- Maintaining high availability levels and optimizing performance.
- Providing customer support for AV-related needs.
- Proficiency in determining work procedures, machine setups, and operations sequences.
- Experience in troubleshooting/maintenance/repair of Telecommunications, Audio Video, or Video Teleconferencing systems.
- Hands-on experience with studio upgrades, AV cabling, audio/video systems, computer-based hardware, teleconferencing, teleprompters, backup files/software updates, and developing test procedures.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work on a ladder, lift/push/pull 50 pounds or more, stand for extended periods, bend, kneel, and work with arms raised.
