The Position:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team. This person will be responsible for ensuring that our apartment buildings are well-maintained, and all repairs are completed promptly and to a high standard.
Responsibilities:
- Responding to maintenance requests and repairing any damages or malfunctions in apartments, including plumbing, electrical, and mechanical issues.
- Maintaining the overall appearance of the property, including regular painting, cleaning, and other cosmetic touch-ups.
- Conducting regular inspections of apartments and common areas to identify any repair needs and perform preventative maintenance.
- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance and repair work completed, including inventory and supply records.
- Communicating with residents to ensure that they are informed of any maintenance work that is scheduled or completed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Maintenance certification or some post high school maintenance specific training a plus.
- Previous experience in building maintenance or repair work of at least 5 years.
- Working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Flexibility to work on weekends or evenings as needed.

Typical work includes:
- Installing/repairing faucets, diverters and traps
- Light appliance repair
- Repairing/Replacing switches and outlets
- Operating a snake to unclog drains
- Changing light fixtures
- Light carpentry and painting
- Groundskeeping
- Other reasonable jobs related to the apartment buildings
We supply all tools, though you must have your own reliable work vehicle/car.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
