Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing various components, but mainly those within gear boxes. This is a challenging role that requires strong technical expertise and problem-solving skills.
- Design and develop prints using CAD software
- Conduct analysis and reverse engineering of customer parts
- Create schematics and technical drawings for manufacturing parts
- Perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve mechanical issues
- Conduct inspections of parts for preparation of quality assurance documents for clients review
- Conduct tests and experiments to evaluate the performance of mechanical systems
- Provide technical support during the manufacturing and assembly process
- Assist in quoting projects by contacting suppliers for pricing and delivery
- Review projects with clients and have ability to explain in technical and non-technical terms wear, design and pricing issues
- Explain and interpret parts and prints for machinists
- Help in all aspects of communication with clients
- Assist in shipping parts
- Communicate requirements to outside vendors
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, theories, and concepts
- Proficiency in CAD software (such AutoCAD)
- Ability to read, create and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
