The role of the Assistant Operations Manager is to support the company to help reach our company objectives. We strive to provide the best customer experience for Wheel Fun Rentals customers, improve gross rental revenue at WFR outlets and control costs. This will require the creation, implementation and follow up of systems which will improve efficiency, productivity, and customer service.
Duties:
Operations Support
· Frequent travel to locations in-season (April-Sept) and occasional off-season travel (Oct-March).
· Assure WFR Quality Assurance Standards are met by performing Location Inspections. Ensure all systems and processes work to maintain and monitor:
- Customer Service
- Maintenance of fleet (including parts box and maintenance board utilization) – responsible for learning fleet maintenance.
- P.O.S. upkeep and periodic procedures (including manual transaction compliance)
- Cleanliness (including product/facilities)
- Product Display
- Uniform and Appearance Guidelines Compliance
- Scheduling Guidelines
· Ensure location cash deposits match expectations and oversee investigations with location managers.
· General organization of all location developments and follow-up when necessary; consult with the Operations Manager when needed.
· Ensure all location staff comply with complete safety protocols via regular safety audits.
· Ensure all website/voicemail/signage information is accurate and consistent.
· Work closely with the Operations Manager to set and/or implement policies, procedures, and systems.
· Follow through with both current and new protocols that are implemented.
· Maintenance & facility project support, as needed.
· Other duties as assigned.
Coordination
· Verify with managers that the following procedures occur timely:
- Parts orders sent weekly (2x a week in-season)
- Paperwork box sent weekly (2x a week in-season)
- Deposits made weekly (2x a week in-season)
- Supplies orders made weekly
- Shared revenue paperwork submitted monthly
- Expense reports submitted monthly
· Asset management/loss prevention oversight: Coordinate with WFR Central Accounting regarding inventory counts and shortage/overage investigations.
· Post ads for location managers; support reviewing resumes, pre-screening, and interviews.
· Plan logistics with location supervisors for large groups, events, and offsite rentals.
· Coordinate used fleet sales.
· Resolve customer issues via phone, Yelp, Zendesk, etc.
· Help coordinate various customer communications related to location openings and closures.
· Ensure seamless communication of issues and other developments between WFR Central and remote locations.
· Assist with new location setup – Recruiting, training, OTG setup.
· Review Area/Location Supervisors' expenses.
· Other duties as assigned.
Financial Analysis
· Highly detailed oversight and execution of weekly dashboards, monthly reports, and necessary follow-up.
· Execute and oversee additional reporting measures, such as fleet utilization and hours of operation optimization.
· Daily review of location data, including revenue, closing times, historical info, etc.
· Weekly schedule analysis to determine proper staffing needs (productivity & customer service) and compliance with Labor vs. Revenue guidelines.
· Other duties as assigned.
Direct Location Oversight
· Manage local staffed Oxnard/Ventura locations, including scheduling, hiring, recruiting, and disciplinary action.
· Staff training and development, inclusive of orientation & ongoing communications.
· Responsible for maintenance board/repair tag compliance and fleet operability.
· Network and maintain relationships (including Parks Contacts, Share Rev Partners, and Zachari Dunes).
· Responsible for compliance to posted hours of operation. Must work rental shifts to comply, as needed.
· Reservation system & related cycle inventory management.

Pay: $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
