Salary: $80,000 – $100,000/year

Job Overview
This position is based in New York . However, Hybrid can be negotiable depending on the successful
candidate’s circumstances.
Their client, one of Japanese banks, is currently seeking a Project/Program Manager. This position will entail working directly with clients to drive ISO20022 project. This position requires financial business skills and would be responsible for developing detailed project plans, issue management, management reporting and arranging test environments with various stakeholders.
The candidate will also be responsible for liaising with end users and deconstructing issues / queries and
then lead to solution.
Role and Responsibilities

Communicate with internal colleagues to understand the needs of the organization as a whole

Understand SDLC, especially Waterfall model, and drive projects based on the methodology

Produce written documentation to support your work, report on your findings and to present to stakeholders when necessary

Facilitate meetings with various stakeholders and guide them to appropriate and useful outcomes

Liaise with end users and external stakeholders to drive projects

Liaise with Japanese stakeholders in HO in Japanese and translate Japanese materials into English for US national members(if necessary)

Participate in regular meetings with HO which normally take place in the evening(NY time)

Challenge anything new to you and study by yourself if necessary to proceed with projects
Qualifications and Education Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience

Should have a minimum of 5 years of system project management experience Preferred Skills

Extremely organized with strong time-management skills

Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously, while balancing challenging deadlines and client constraints

Hands-on experience in project management of system development in financial institutions

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Proven ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment, in a high pressure environment with changing priorities

Excellent English and Japanese oral and written communication skills
