Description:
Recruiting Part-Time RNs for weekend and evening instructors to teach Nurse Aide I courses. Weekend hours are 8 hour shifts, Saturday and Sunday 9:00am - 5:00pm. Evening hours are 4 hour shifts, Monday - Thursday 5:30pm - 9:30pm. A great way to supplement your income, with flexible schedules.
Duties include:
- Responsible for the classroom instruction, lab instruction, and skills assessment
- Counsel and guide students as they maneuver through the course
- Be able to communicate effectively to a group orally and written
- Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance in all situations to those you are working with and for and act as a role model for the students in the program
- To perform and instruct skills according to NC-DHHS and the NCBON guidelines
- Supervise and assess students at various facilities during clinical rotations at a nursing home.
- Communicate effectively with students, Faculty/Staff, residents and families of residents, and staff at clinical facilities
- Must be able to maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance in accordance with state and school requirements.
Qualifications
ADN, BSN, or MSN Nursing Degree
Holds an unencumbered license to practice as an RN in North Carolina.
Must have at least two years of experience (4,000 hours) as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the United States including the supervision of nurse aides (CNAs).
Previous teaching or precepting experience preferred.
