We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Assistant to join our Human Resources team. As an HR Assistant, you will play a vital role in our HR Department by assisting in various HR functions, including onboarding, the processing of documentation in our Human Resources Information System (HRIS), employee relations and HR administration. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong communication skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in launching a career in human resources and gaining hands-on experience in HR operations.
Responsibilities:
- Process employment status changes, including promotions, transfers, separations, and terminations, ensuring accurate and timely completion of all necessary documentation.
- Request final paychecks for employees who have resigned or been terminated.
- Respond to employee inquiries and concerns promptly, addressing HR-related matters and providing guidance on company policies, benefits, and procedures.
- Perform audits to ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures, reviewing personnel records, payroll documents, and other relevant files.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive employee information and ensure accurate and secure storage of employee data.
- Stay updated on employment laws, regulations, and industry best practices to maintain compliance and provide up-to-date guidance to employees and management.
- Support HR projects and initiatives, such as employee onboarding, performance management, employee engagement activities, and policy development.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an HR Assistant or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of HR processes and procedures.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively correspond with employees at all levels.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing employment status changes, final paychecks, and conducting audits.
- Knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with HRIS systems preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow in the field of Human Resources.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively within a team.
