Description:
You will be working with children with Autism and/or other developmental disorders between the ages of 2 years to 15 years of age. Please use code words "responsible and reliable" during the first phone screen with us to let us know you read our job descriptions. We may or may not ask you for the code word.
We’re seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) who will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (speech therapists, occupational therapists, Clinical Directors, BCBAs, RBTs, BT, etc.) and implement best practice, child-specific Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs. Our BCBAs will provide supervision of ABA therapy and are required to conduct initial and recurring assessments, staff trainings, create targets based on individualized treatment, parent trainings, create electronic data collection sessions, and learning trees (Central Reach).
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting assessment activities related to the need for behavioral interventions.
- Providing early intervention therapy in a center-based setting.
- Working under the direction of Clinical Directors.
- Designing, implementing, and systematically monitoring skill acquisition and behavior reduction programs.
- Writing behavior intervention programs, treatment plans, progress summaries, clinical notes, discharge summaries, and engage in professional correspondence.
- Overseeing others implementation of behavior intervention programs.
- Training others on current behavior intervention implementation and providing corrective feedback as necessary.
- Communicating and collaborating effectively with caregivers, interdisciplinary services, and other professionals.
- Attending planning meetings as needed.
- Researching literature related to the program.
- Update and track skill and behavior reduction data.
- Create and implement materials including visual aids, data sheets, and other supporting materials.
- Communicate with client teams as necessary.
- Conduct fidelity checks.
- Create and conduct training and development opportunities.
- Maintain client dignity within complex situations.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment.
- Maintain client authorization hours.
- Follow all BACB ethics codes and remain up to date with changing criteria.
- Maintain BCBA certification.
- Maintain LBA.
- Maintain RBT monthly supervision requirements.
- Maintain RBT supervision requirements annually.
- Facility management (i.e., opening/closing the clinic, checking on supplies, etc.).
What we are looking for (requirements):
- Board Certification or preparing to sit for certification within 30 days
- Licensed Behavior Analyst
- Must pass a background check
- Meets current BACB requirements.
- Passionate individual who loves working with children 15 and under
- Experience working with children diagnosed with autism or a developmental disorders
- Time management skills, observation skills, and analytical skills
- Ability to receive detailed information through written and verbal communication
- Willingness to learn and implement new skills, as well as the ability to work on a team
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Appropriate, cohesive, and clear parent feedback
- Maintain emotional control under stress
- Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.
- Potential exposure to bodily fluids.
Licensure, registration, and/or certification:
- Current BLS/CPR/First Aid (Can be completed once hired)
- BCBA Certificate from BACB (or eligible to sit for the exam)
