Position Description
The Activities Director is to plan, organize, develop, direct and implement the overall operation of the Activity Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Administrator, to assure that an on-going program of activities is designed to meet, in accordance with the comprehensive assessment, the interests and the physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of each resident.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan develop, organize, implement, evaluate & direct the activity programs of the facility. Assist in development, administration and coordination of department policies & procedures.
- Participate in community planning related to the interests of the facility and the services and needs of resident assessments.
- Perform administrative requirements, such as completing necessary forms, reports, etc. and submitting such to the administrator as required.
- Direct, manage and supervise Activity Aides and/or other department personnel. Delegate authority, responsibility and accountability to other responsible department personnel.
- Develop a written plan of care (preliminary & comprehensive) for each resident that identifies the problems/needs of the resident and the goals to be accomplished.
- Prepare a monthly calendar of activities written in large print & posted prominently for visitors & in resident rooms.
Qualifications
- Preferred experience as an activities Director

Pay: $45,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
