This position fulfills the function of leading and directing VLSI/ASIC related endeavors. The candidate can be expected to work with teams consisting of members of diverse backgrounds including mathematicians, cryptographers, and physicists. The candidate will also expect to support projects which require an in depth knowledge of VLSI and fabrication processes (e.g., device physics knowledge).
The candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Staying abreast of general security techniques and notions
- Assist in constructing threat tree analyses alongside other members of a diverse team including mathematicians, cryptographers and solid state physicists
- Construct both internal and external facing reports for a variety of audience to aid digestion of complex security ideas
- Assist in creation of security centric firmware, hardware and software modules
- Provide input to team member from non-VLSI backgrounds concerning projects which involve device physics and fabrication processes.
