Development Manager - Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation (GFBF)
GFBF Mission: to partner with fire service & burn care community to provide safety and prevention education, support medical facilities, and assist burn survivors in their journey of recovery.
Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation is seeking a motivated and experienced Development Manager to join our team on a part-time contract basis, to develop and spearhead fundraising efforts crucial for increasing resources; This position offers a tremendous opportunity to make a meaningful impact by cultivating relationships & implementing fund development strategies that align with the mission and goals of the foundation.
Reports to: Executive Director
Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive fundraising strategies in collaboration with leadership.
- Research & Manage grant applications, timelines, and reporting requirements.
- Cultivate relationships with donors and stakeholders.
- Plan and execute fundraising initiatives, outreach & 3rd party events.
- Maintain accurate donor records and generate performance reports.
- Collaborate with staff and volunteers to integrate fundraising with program strategies.
- Maintain familiarity with current trends in the care & treatment of burn injuries.
- Understanding & Appreciation for our service population of people impacted by the devastation of burn injury & trauma.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or 2 years of relevant experience.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in donor management software and Microsoft Office.
- Experience in fundraising and donor stewardship.
- Prior experience with volunteer teams preferred.
- Must pass a criminal background check.
- Prior experience working with volunteer teams and familiarity of the fire service profession desirable, but not required.
