Program Description
Safe Haven Youth Ranch is an Intense Trauma-Informed Residential Program, that offers an unique approach to achieving healing and recovery by combining the use of evidence-based trauma interventions, 4-H youth development programs and individualized behavior skills training as a treatment alternative to youth who have experienced severe adverse childhood traumatic life events of extreme abuse and neglect frequently exacerbated by involvement in the foster care systems.
Population Served
Safe Haven Youth Ranch accepts youth ages 10-15 with emotional disorders. Most of the youth served at the Ranch are referred after having experienced multiple foster home placements and psychiatric hospital stays that have resulted in the youth feeling rejected and undesirable. At the Ranch, it is our goal to help youth overcome those past experiences by offering a safe, stable, and family farm-like environment for youth to grow, heal and thrive by using a trauma-informed care approach and trauma-specific interventions to address consequences of trauma.
Job Related Duties
The Case Manager is responsible for the well-being and safety of the youth in care, and ensures all initial and subsequent medical, dental, mental health services are completed timely.
Qualification for a Case Manager oversees treatment services for children with emotional disorders must:
Must be at least 21 year of age, physically, mentally, and emotionally capable of performing assigned tasks and have the skills necessary to perform assigned tasks.
A Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university in social work or other human services field and nine credit hours in graduate level courses that focus on family and individual function and interaction.
One year of documented full-time work experience in a treatment setting serving children, including RTCs, child-placing agencies providing treatment services, psychiatric hospitals serving children, etc.

Work Hours: Full-time, minimum 40 hours per week position; work hours must be flexible to include some weekend, and evening hours
Classification: Exempt
Travel: As required.
Salary is awarded according to related experience.

Pay: $38,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
